IPL founder Lalit Modi announces “new beginning” with Sushmita Sen

Lalit Modi, the first chairman of Indian Premier League, posted cozy pictures with former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. Calling Sushmita his "better half", Lalit Modi said that they were in for a "new beginning" in a tweet.

"Just back in london after a whirling global tour #maldives #sardinia with the families - not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 - a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon (sic)," wrote Modi.

Lalit Modi, in the next tweet, clarified that they were not married yet, but it might happen soon.

Lalit Modi had left India in 2010, as he was investigated for tax evasion and money-laundering. He lived in London ever since.

Sushmita Sen was crowned Miss Universe in 1994, making her Bollywood debut in 1996 with "Dastak".

She has two adopted daughters - Alisah and Renee. Even though her appearances in showbiz are more sporadic these days, she has earned acclaim for her role in web series "Arya".
