I do whatever possible to take up social issues: Akshay Kumar on joining politics
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently attended a book launching event in London, where he was asked whether he wanted to join politics.
The actor shared that he is happy acting in and producing films that focus on social issues and causes.
"I am very happy making films... As an actor, I do whatever possible to take on social issues. I have produced 150 films, the one nearest to my heart is Raksha Bandhan," the actor said at the event according to PTI.
The "Bachchhan Paandey" actor shared that he tries to produce commercial films which will both enlighten and entertain the audiences.
Akshay had a spell of bad performances at the box office this year, with both "Bachchhan Paandey" and "Samrat Prithviraj" failing to make much impact. He currently awaits the release of his films "Raksha Bandhan", "Ram Setu", "Selfiee", among others.
