"Wolverine" actor, Hugh Jackman, revealed that he was offered the role of iconic secret service agent, James Bond. However, he passed on the role as he 'did not want to do the same thing'.

In an interview with IndieWire, the actor revealed that he wouldn't be able to make time for himself if he had to simultaneously shoot for "Wolverine" and "James Bond".

Although the actor did not reveal when he was offered the role of 007, there were reports that the makers of James Bond were looking for a replacement for Pierce Brosnan in 2004 and officially picked Daniel Craig to put on the suit for "Casino Royale" (2006).

Jackman also stressed upon the fact that he was bored of doing the same thing over and over again.

"You know, the role of the action hero. I mean, it was the meat-and-potatoes of a lot of American films, that archetype. It was all various forms of heroic guys in tough situations. I was like, 'Uh, no. This is a problem'," said Jackman.

Hugh Jackman will be seen next in Florian Zeller's "The Son", which also features Laura Dern, Vanessa Kirby, Zen McGrath, Hugh Quarshie, and Anthony Hopkins.

The actor has also announced that he will be reprising his role as Wolverine for Ryan Reynolds's "Deadpool 3."
