Cannes Film Festival: Ukraine supporter creates controversy
Amidst all the glitz and glamour, the 76th Cannes Film Festival faced a controversial incident, a woman was spotted in a dress with colours of Ukrainian national flag on the stairs leading to the theatre. Pretty soon, the woman started to cover herself up in fake blood which created quite a scene at the event.
The video of the protest became viral on social media, with the woman seen smearing fake blood over herself was quickly pulled away by the security guards from the red carpet.

The unidentified woman was seen making her way up the red carpet stairs in a bejeweled yellow and blue gown ahead of the premiere of the Russian film "Acide" on Sunday at the Cannes Film Festival.
The woman took a few steps on the stairs before facing towards the cameras and brought up two bags of fake blood underneath her dress. She smeared the red colour all over her face with her hands. Photographers took notice of the incident and quickly grabbed the whole thing on their camera. There has been no reaction from festival insiders to this protest.
The 76th Cannes Film Festival kicked off on May 16 and will run until May 27.
