16-year-old swimmer Vedaant Madhavan makes his father proud
Renowned Indian actor R Madhavan's son, 16-year-old swimmer Vedaant, has made his father proud. This time, Vedaanta has broken the record in the 48th Junior National Aquatic Championships.
Madhavan took to Twitter on Sunday to share a video of Vedaanta swimming brilliantly to win gold in the 1500m freestyle.
The video shows Vedanta swimming, as the host says, "In about 16 minutes, he broke the record at the speed of 780 metres. I didn't expect him to do it, but he picked up his pace nicely. Vedanta's arm action and kick have 'gone strong'. I never thought he would try for the record."
"Never say never. National Junior Record for 1500m freestyle broken," wrote Madhavan.
One fan wrote, "Those parents are very lucky to be known because of their own children. You are also one of them. I like you very much. "
Vedanta had earlier won gold in the 800m freestyle at the Danish Open in Copenhagen in April. He has also won several medals at the international and national level. Vedanta is also preparing to play for India in the 2026 Olympics.
