Singers’ Association of Bangladesh mourns death of Borno Chakroborty
Singers' Association of Bangladesh today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Young and talented musician Borno Chakroborty who passed away with Covid-19 at a city hospital yesterday.
The Association which has been formed to protect the moral and financial rights of the singers in the country prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
In a condolence message, the association's president, renowned Rabindra Sangeet singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya said, "It is difficult for us to accept the departure of such a young singer at such a young age. The scattering of his talent could have enlightened us more."
In his speech, the association's general secretary National Award-winning singer Kumar Bishwajit said, "Borno was a very sweet-spoken and hard-working person. I can say from the experience of working with him, there was a lot more to give.'
Borno Chakraborty grew up in music from a young age. In addition to singing, he made music videos, tele-fictions, advertisements and documentaries.
The 33-year-old singer had tested positive for the virus earlier this month. On July 6, He was admitted at Better life hospital in the capital for treatment. Borno breathed his last at 10:41 pm yesterday while being treated at the hospital.
