Noted composer Anwar Jahan Nantu no more

Anwar Jahan Nantu, the "Tumi Amar Moner Majhi" famed composer and music director, is no more. The artist passed away early in the morning of Sunday, around 3 am, while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Dhaka. The artiste was 78 years old at the time of his death.

The news was confirmed to The Daily Star by the artiste's son, renowned playwright and director, Sagar Jahan.

"Please pray for my father. His death was due to old age complications," shared Jahan.
