Music maestro Vijay Kichlu is no more

Renowned classical music maestro Vijay Kichlu, breathed his last on Friday at the Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital of Kolkata, at the age of 93.
The hospital confirmed the news soon after with a statement.
According to the media outlets, the classical musician was admitted for having a breathing condition and suffered a cardiac arrest before his treatment began, which claimed the artiste's life. Before this, Vijay Kichlu was admitted to the hospital for heart failure in January.
The maestro was an expert in the Indian classical music genres, Dhrupad and Khayal. Furthermore, he also founded the ITC Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata and led the institution for 25 years.
