Kanye West banned from Instagram for violating hate speech policy
Controversial rapper Kanye West, now known as Ye, has been temporarily banned from Instagram for instigating hate speech and bullying.
A Meta spokesperson confirmed that the rapper violated the company's rule for posting content filled with hate speech, bullying and harassment. His account has been deleted for 24 hours as a result.
The "Donda" singer lashed out on social media about his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend Pete Davidson. He also posted racist comments against "The Daily Show" host Trevor Noah, who called out the rapper for harassing Kardashian.
West's account has also been restricted from posting, commenting and sending direct messages for 24 hours. The Instagram officials will take additional steps if the rapper fails to follow the community guidelines of the platform.
