Bhojpuri singer suffers a bullet injury due to celebratory firing

Bhojpuri Singer Nisha Upadhyay recently suffered a bullet injury during her latest performance at Saran area of Bihar, India. According to media reports, the singer was performing in a cultural ceremony.

As per the reports, the incident took place due to celebratory firing at the event. During the sudden open firing, a bullet hit Nisha's left thigh, injuring the artiste. After which, the singer was immediately taken to Max Hospital in Patna for treatment.

This caused mass panic amongst the audience. Currently, the doctors have disclosed that Nisha's condition has stabilised and she is out of danger.

A video of Nisha's performance just minutes before the firing also went viral on social media.

Speaking about the incident, the police officers in-charge of the case, have shared with the media, "We received information about the incident but no written complaint has been filed yet. We are investigating how the gunshots were fired and who were all involved in the firing."
