How are you enjoying the love of your listeners while staying abroad?
I have received lots of admiration and love in the last thirty-six years from the Bengali-speaking listeners from all over the world. Their love and respectful attitude overwhelm me. I am proud, I have reached my audience through music.
Do you have any particular memory from overseas regarding your performances?
In 2009, I had performed in a show with artistes in Spain and France, namely Bari Siddiqui, Hasan, and Salam, among others. The audience was repeating the lyrics of the song with me and I was truly moved by their adoration.
How are you planning to spend your birthday this year?
I am presently staying at my cousin Morshed Tito's residence. I look forward to spending the day with my loved ones. They have arranged a picnic for me. Such love and respect are truly valuable to me.
You were engaged in numerous social activities. What charitable works are you currently involved in?
I have been involved in a diverse range of social works for about twenty-five years. I am sincerely trying to help people to the best of my capabilities.
At present, I am involved with an old age home. This old age home is a safe haven for the marginalised women.
To accomplish such noble works on a bigger platform, I had signed up for politics but could not hold my place. I want to remain faithful to humanity through such activities and serve the people as much as I can.
Do you wish to send any message to your listeners of the country?
I have received love and adoration from people that are very rare and precious. I pray and hope that our country soon becomes a developed and prosperous nation.
