DSCC pulls down 30 hoardings with English ads

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) pulled down about 30 hoardings with advertisements in English or mixed languages from Shahbagh to Matshay Bhaban in the capital yesterday.
DSCC started the drive in compliance with a High Court order that madeBangla mandatory except for unavoidable circumstances including those used in the English media.
Mohammad Ibrahim Hossain Khan, DSCC administrator, said the advertisers were given time to remove the illegal advertisements but they did not comply.
