Don't use children in street agitations
Now-a-days, we see many children as pickets in the streets during political programs. It is observed that child pickets create violence in the name of movement by political parties. Sometimes, they themselves become victims of violence.
Children are often forced or paid in cash by political activists to take part in party programmes, which often turn violent. Adolescents are also being drawn into violent politics. Slum and street children are pushed into political programmes in exchange for money with the connivance of their parents.
But when it troubles, their political mentors do not come to their aid. Children who get hurt and maimed during political violence never get any financial support from their political patrons. So we urge political patrons not to use children in such violent activities especially in the street agitations.
