Twelve houses, a party office and four shops were gutted, damaging properties worth Tk 9 lakh, in separate fire incidents in Chittagong city yesterday.
In Uttar Kattali, fire originated from an electric short-circuits gutted 12 dwelling houses and a local Awami League office around 3:40am. Fire-fighters doused the fire around 5:40am.
Meanwhile, in Bakalia area four shops were gutted in fire originated from an electric short-circuit around 3:00am. Fire-fighters extinguished the fire around 4:50am.
