Mitu murder: Accused Shaku put on 4-day remand in Ctg
A court in Chattogram today placed Saidul Islam Shaku, accused of Mahmuda Khanam Mitu murder case filed with Panchlaish police station, on four-day remand.
Shaku was arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) from Rangunia upazila of Chattogram on Wednesday night over the murder.
Shahabuddin Ahmed, assistant commissioner (prosecution) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) said Shaku was produced before the court of metropolitan magistrate Shafi Uddin with seven-day remand prayer today while the court granted four-day remand for him after hearing.
Mossarraf Hossain, father-in-law of former Superintendent of Police (SP) Babul Akter, filed a case with Panchlaish Police Station on Wednesday accusing Babul Akter and seven others on charge of killing Mitu on June 5, 2016.
