Fabricating fake anticipatory bail order: HC orders arrest of 30 accused within 7 days

The High Court today ordered police to arrest 30 accused in a violence case of Bogura for fabricating a fake bail order of this court in their favour.

Among the accused is the district's Sadar upazila's Jubo League acting president Md Aminul Islam.

The court ordered the officer-in-charge of Bogura Sadar Police Station to submit a report to it after arresting them within seven days.

The HC bench of Justice Md Abu Zafor Siddique and Justice KM Hafizul Alam also directed Bogura's chief judicial magistrate to conduct an inquiry into the fabrication of forged HC bail order and to submit the probe report to this court in 30 days.

The bench came up with the order on a suo moto (voluntary) move after a copy of the forged bail order was placed before it and the officials concerned of the court confirmed that a fake anticipatory bail order was fabricated.

Attorney General AM Amin Uddin also told the HC bench that the order is fake and said those who are involved in the forgery need to be arrested.

Meanwhile, our Bogura correspondent could not contact accused Aminul Islam over phone his comment despite repeated attempts. Later his phone number was found switched of.

When asked, Humayan Kabir, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said, "I did not get any copy of the High Court order, but I heard today that Aminul and 29 other people have taken a forged bail. Aminul and others submitted their bail copy on February 15.

The OC said they will start to arrest them after getting the High Court order.

On February 9, a clash took place at Bogura Satmatha area between two ruling part (AL) men.

The following day, three cases were filed over the clash with the Sadar police station.
