Two siblings electrocuted

Two siblings were electrocuted at Dodaria village in Monirampur upazila of Jessore district on Sunday.

The deceased are Milon, 30, and Sumon, 27, sons of Azizur Rahman of the village.

Police said one Shimul, 9, son of Robiul Islam of the area, came in contact with a snapped electric wire near a brick kiln around 9:00am.

Hearing screams, Milon and Sumon rushed to the spot and tried to save the boy but they were electrocuted.

They died on the spot, said Mollah Khabir Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Monirampur Police Station.

Injured Shimul is now undergoing treatment at Jessore Medical College Hospital, said the OC.
