Two Indians among 7 held at Benapole
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained five Bangladeshis and two Indian nationals from Sadipur border area under Benapole Port Police Station while they were illegally entering Bangladesh on Tuesday morning.
The Bangladeshis hail from different areas of Gopalganj and Sirajganj.
Commanding Officer of BGB-49 Battalion Lt Col Ariful Haque said, acting on secret information, a team of the border guards conducted a drive in the area in the morning and detained two Indian nationals and five Bangladeshis (three women and two men).
Later, BGB handed them over to Benapole Port Police Station.
A case was filed with the police station in this connection.
