‘Keep prices of daily commodities at tolerable level’
Consumer Rights Protection Committee today threatened to wage tough movement against the syndicate responsible for the price hike of daily commodities if the government does not take steps to keep the market prices of essentials at tolerable level.
They made the announcement at a human chain held in front of National Press Club.
“Government should find out those who are behind the syndicate immediately,” said Rana Chowdhury, founder president of Consumer Right Protection Committee, adding that the syndicate members must be brought to book for making people hostage.
While attending the human chain, freedom fighter Ruhul Amin Mazumder demanded punishment of those who are amassing money in guise of the syndicate.
The speakers urged the government to set up mobile courts to monitor the market strictly including the onion prices.
