Spurious homeo medicine seized, 2 held

Police seized huge quantity of fake and contaminated homeo medicine from Durgapur village in Sadar upazila yesterday.

Khan Mohammed Shaharier, OC of Sadar Police Station, said a police team seized huge amount of fake and contaminated homeo medicine, equipment, fake labels and raw materials used for manufacturing medicine from the house of Mosiur Rahman Majid of the village.

Sensing their presence, the owner of the house fled and police picked up his wife Sefali Begum and son Mehdi Hasan from there.

A case was filed, accusing the three, said the OC.
