Six Indian cattle seized

Law enforcers seized six Indian cattle from Dariapur and Amnura bordering villages under Sadar upazila yesterday. Lt Col Abu Zafor Sheikh Mohammad Bazlul Haque, commanding officer (CO) of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) 9 Battalion, said a task force led by executive magistrates Gonopati Roy and Ujjal Kumar Ghosh went to Dariapur village at around 9:30am and seized three cattle with the help of BGB men. The team later seized three more Indian cattle from Amnura area. Later, BGB handed over the cattle worth around Tk 3.30 lakh to the customs department, the CO said. None was arrested in this connection.
