Sommilito Sangskritik Jote today demanded a fair investigation into the murder of Sohagi Jahan Tonu and punishment of those involved with the killing.
The cultural organisation also demanded immediate arrest of the killers of Tonu who was a student of Comilla Victoria College.
An eight-member delegation of the organisation submitted a memorandum to the home ministry to press for their demands this afternoon.
“Home minister or inspector general of police should talk to the media to clear confusion about initiatives taken so far,” Golam Kuddus, president of the body, demanded.
The organisation will decide on their future programmes after April 11.
The body also demanded to the government to withdraw the restrictions, placed by the government, on the celebration of Pahela Baishak.
