Raise voice against repression of minorities
Former adviser to a caretaker government Sultana Kamal yesterday urged the people from all walks of life to raise their voice against repression of the minorities.
She also called on the people to stand beside them.
Sultana made the call while she was speaking as the chief guest at a view exchange meeting on 'Condition and position of religious minorities' at Tangail Municipality auditorium.
Sultana said repression of women is yet to be reduced although the women are in power.
Tangail district Manobadhikar Natya Parishad organised the meeting against the backdrop of recent incidents of repression of the religious and ethnic minorities.
Tangail district Awami League Organising Secretary Subhas Chandra Saha presided over the meeting while Tangail district Manobadhikar Natya Parishad General Secretary Utpal Kumar Chakrobarty gave the welcome speech.
After the meeting, they visited Falda in Bhuapur upazila to see for themselves the situation after a recent attack and exchanged views with the affected people.
