Pabna health complex locked down after staffer tests positive for Covid-19
Chatmohar Upazila Health Complex of Pabna was locked down yesterday after one of its health assistants (lab technician) was diagnosed with Covid-19.
The infected person was engaged in collecting samples from coronavirus patients, our Pabna correspondent reports, quoting sources at the health complex.
After receiving his test result yesterday afternoon, local administration locked down the health complex and its quarters on its campus, said Chatmohar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sarkar Md Raihan.
Talking to The Daily Star, Dr Suaibur Rahman, an official of the health complex, said the complex has been put under lockdown but patients will be given treatment through telemedicine.
"The hospital's indoor and outdoor services remained closed since yesterday, but the emergency unit has been kept open. If anyone needs doctors' advice, they can call the physicians on their cell phones."
Earlier, six people were tested positive for Covid-19 in Pabna, according to the district administration.
