He fell prey to mob killing. The story did not end here. The body was thrown into the Padma river as local people of Jakarar Sura village did not allow the family members to bury him bringing charge of stealing a battery-run auto-bike.

The deceased was Halal Kha, 30, son of Moslam Kha of the village in Charvadration upazila. 

An angry mob beat Halal dead at Char Hosanpur village on Friday on charge of stealing a auto-bike, said Ram Proshad Bhoktto, officer-in-charge of Charvadration Police Station.

The body was found floating in the river yesterday.

“Some villagers threw the body into the Padma river as local people did not allow us to bury our son at the village graveyard bringing theft charge against him,” said Halal's mother Sukuri Begum.

The OC said they heard that local people did not allow Moslam to bury his son rather they threw the body into the river.Halal's father filed a murder case, said the police official.
