At least 10 Bangladeshi migrant workers were killed, while ten others injured in a road crash at Jizan province of Saudi Arabia last night.
The accident took place when a vehicle hit the truck, carrying 20 Bangladeshis to their workplace, from behind early yesterday, Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh said in a press release today.
Identities of the victims were not confirmed yet, it said.

Eight of the workers were killed on the spot and two others succumbed to their wounds on the way to the hospital, the press note said quoting sources at the Bangladesh Consulate General in Jeddah.
The spot of the accident in Jizan province is 800 kilometres away from Jeddah and near to the Yemen border.
The consulate general has sent an official to Jizan to get the details of the deceased and injured, and arrange repatriation of the bodies and treatment of the injured ones, Aminul Islam, labour counsellor of Bangladesh Consulate General in Jeddah, told The Daily Star over a phone call.
The identities of the deceased and injured workers can be provided after the official gets their passports or work permits, he said.
All of the Bangladeshis were employed to work for government projects and were covered by insurance, the counsellor said.
"We will arrange to get the compensation for them," the official said.
