Worker dies in Bogura mosquito coil factory fire

A worker was killed as a mosquito coil factory in Bogura Sadar upazila caught fire this morning.

The deceased, Belal Hosen (25), was a worker at "One Mosquito Coil" factory, reports our local correspondent quoting Humayan Kabir, officer-in-charge of Bogura Sadar police station.

Belal had stayed back after work last night and slept in the factory, the police official said.

Locals discovered the fire in the factory, in Shikarpur village, around 6am and informed the fire department, said Abdul Hamid, assistant director of Bogura Fire Service and Civil Defense.

Three units of firefighters brought it for under control after two hours, he said.

Belal's was recovered from the debris after the fire was doused, Abdul Hamid said, adding that the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
