Woman dies of dengue fever

A Housewife died of dengue fever at Jashore General Hospital on Monday.

The deceased, Sagarika Ghosh, 28, was wife of Ananda Ghosh of Amtala area in Jashore town.

Sagarika was admitted to the hospital after she was diagnosed with dengue fever on October 9, Dr Abul Kalam Azad said, adding that she breathed her last on Sunday evening.

Deceased husband Ananda said his wife and daughter Swastika, 12, fell sick a week ago and they were admitted to Keshabpur Upazila Health Complex from where Sagarika was shifted to Jashore General Hospital.

Swastika is still undergoing treatment at Keshabpur Upazila Health Complex, he said.
