Woman, 2 daughters found murdered

A woman and her two daughters, including a minor one, were found murdered at their residence in Champatoli area of Lama upazila on Friday night.

The deceased were identified as Majeda Begum, 40, wife of Kuwait expatriate Nur Mohammad, and her daughters, Rafi, 13, and one-year-old Nuri police said.

Being informed by the neighbours, police recovered their bodies around 8:00pm, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Lama Circle) Rezwanul Islam said.

Away in Rangpur, a man was killed by his nephew allegedly over a trifling matter in Baderganj upazila on Friday night, reports our Dinajpur correspondent.

The deceased is Rafiqul Islam of Dakkhin Moksudpur village.

Police said Rafiqul and his nephew Helal Uddin locked in an altercation over the fair distribution of cattle meat and, at one stage, Helal stabbed Rafiqul with a sharp weapon. Injured Rafiqul died at Rangpur Medical College Hospital the same night.
