Two hundi traders held
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested two suspected international hundi traders along with 89,800 US dollar from Amrakhali area under Benapole Port Police Station yesterday morning.
The US dollar was smuggled from India.
The arrestees were identified as Obaidul Islam, 27, son of Aminul Islam and Masud Ali, 30, son of Kawser Ali of Noragadi village in Narail district.
Lt Col Ariful Haque, commanding officer of BGB 49 Battalion, said on secret information, the border guards arrested the duo when they were smuggling huge US dollar from India. After searching their luggage, 89,800 US dollar was seized.
