Two crude bombs seized from school ground

Police in Meherpur’s Gangni upazila yesterday seized two unexploded crude bombs from a high school ground where two other bombs were exploded the night before.  

Sub-Inspector (SI) Shakil Ahmed, in-charge of Hemayetpur camp of police, said unidentified criminals left the scene after blasting two bombs at Amtoil High School ground around 11:30pm on Wednesday. 

Yesterday, after being informed by locals, a team of police went to the school ground around 11:30am and obtained two crude bombs, he added. 

The cause for the blasts is yet to be ascertained by police.  

The school is now closed for Eid holidays.
