Schoolgirl hurt in ceiling plaster fall
An 11-year-old girl was injured as chunks of ceiling plaster fell on her in a classroom of a government primary school in Debidwer upazila yesterday.
The victim, Noor Jahan, a Class V student at Daraipur Government Primary School, in now undergoing treatment at Debidwer Upazila Heath Complex.
The minor girl, also daughter of Alamgir Hossain of Dariapur area in the upazila, sustained severe injuries on the head.
Head teacher of the school Rebeka Sultana said they are compelled to hold classes at the risky school building as they have no alternative.
Such accident can happen in future as condition of the existing schoolhouse is very vulnerable, she added.
