An aircraft of Saudi Arabian Airlines made an emergency landing at the Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport today due to technical glitch.

The 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft was operating flight SV885 from Guangzhou to Riyadh, landed at the airport around 6:10pm due to the technical glitch in one of its engines.

The aircraft’s number 2 engine, a GEnx-1B, had to be shutdown (suspecting a failure) over Myanmar airspace, said an official of the HSIA.
