'Robber' beaten dead

Police recovered the body of a robber suspect from a passenger bus in Gopalganj Police Lines area under Gopalganj Sadar upazila yesterday.

The deceased was Md Sento, 40, son of late Rafiqul Islam of Killerpur village under Siddhirganj Police Station in Narayanganj.

He was beaten dead in the bus on Tuesday night, said an eyewitness.

"Police recovered the body from the Bagerhat-bound bus around 10:00am on Wednesday in Gopalganj Police Lines area and sent it to Gopalganj General Hospital for autopsy,” said Md Golam Faruk, OC of Gopalganj Sadar Police Station.
