Prevent ex-Biman MD to leave country: ACC to SB
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) sent letters to the Special Branch of Police urging it to take measures preventing immediate past managing director of Biman Bangladesh Airlines AM Mosaddique Ahmed and nine others from leaving the country.
Nine others staff of the national flag carrier are: Mushikur Rahman, GM Zakir Hossain, Mizanur Rahman, AKM Masum Billah, Rafiqul Alam, Golam Kaysar Ahmed, Maruf Mehedi Hasan, Jawed Tarik Khan and Mafuzur Karim Siddique.
In a letter to the Special Branch of Police, ACC said that enquires of amassing wealth illegally and misusing power against Mosaddique and others are going on.
The commission is also enquiring into the allegation of taking bribe for recruitment of pilot against immediate past managing director.
“Sources confirmed that the persons are trying to flee from the country,” reads the letter signed by Saiful Islam, Assistant Director of ACC.
In such circumstances, it is requested to take necessary steps as the persons could not leave the country.
Mosaddique has recently been relieved from the post.
