PCJSS man shot dead in Rangamati

A member of Parbatya Chattogram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS-MN Larma) was shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Baghaichhari upazila of Rangamati this evening.

The incident took place around 9:45pm in Bijoyghat village under Rupokari union in the upazila, reports our Rangamati correspondent quoting Muhammad Abdul Mojnu, officer-in-charge of Baghaichhari Police Station.

The deceased was identified as Dudorvo Chakma, 40. His wife Ubosuli Chakma, 35, also sustained critical injury after being shot on her leg.

Dudorvo and his wife were watching television at their home when a group of unidentified miscreants open fired at them, leaving Dudorvo dead on the spot and his wife critically injured, OC Abdul Mojnu said quoting locals.

Locals admitted the injured to Bagaichhari upazila health complex for treatment.

On information, a police team went to the spot to recover the body, the OC added.
