Police were taking Amanullah to the courtroom from guardroom of Pirojpur District and Sessions Judge's Court around 11:45am, court sources said.

While going through the stairs, Amanullah managed to free his hand from the handcuff and fled away.

This correspondent called Court Inspector Md Mobashwer Ali to get his comment over the incident but the mobile got disconnected immediately after the call was made.
