Monitor sensational cases closely: IGP to cops
Inspector General of Policy (IGP) Mohammad Javed Patwary today asked field level police officials to closely monitor the sensational cases until completion of the trial procedures.
The IGP came up with the call while addressing a quarterly crime review conference at the police headquarters in Dhaka today.
DIGs of all ranges, commissioners of all metropolitan cities and all district police supers across the country were present at the conference.
Claiming that police is working to bring all police stations in the people’s faith, he said good manner will have to be upheld dealing with people who come to the police stations.
Mentioning that the zero-tolerance policy has been announced against abuse of drugs, the police chief said legal action will be taken against those involved in dealing with drugs whoever they are.
No police member won’t be spared if they were found involved in the drug abuse, Patwary sounded a note of caution.
