Man held with gold bars

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested an alleged smuggler with 10 gold bars weighing around six kg from Sadipur border under Benapole Port Police Station yesterday.

The arrestee was identified as Jihad Ali, 35, son of the area.

A case was filed in this connection, said Lt Col Salim Reja, commanding officer of BGB- 49 Battalion.
