Library catches fire

A fire broke out at a government-run library in Uttar Patuapara area of the district town yesterday morning. Police and fire service sources said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at a room of the library building and soon engulfed the entire building. On information, firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the blaze. Several books of the library and important documents were gutted in the fire, said Abdur Rauf, an official of Sadar Fire Service Station.
