Justice Obaidul, Shawkat made members of BJSC

Justice Obaidul Hassan and Justice Md Shawkat Hossain, two sitting judges of High Court Division of the Supreme Court, have been appointed members of Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission (BJSC)for next five years.

President M Abdul Hamid has made the appointment as per the Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission Rules, 2007.

The law ministry issued a gazette notification to this effect today.

Justice Obaidul Hassan and Justice Md Shawkat Hossain have been appointed members of BJSC as the tenure of two of its member has expired, Law Secretary ASSM Zahirul Haque Dulal told The Daily Star. 

Justice Hasan Foez Siddique, sitting judge of the Appellate Division of the SC, is the chairman of the 11-member commission.
