Health ministry asks DGHS to blacklist 14 medical equipment suppliers
The health ministry has written to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) to blacklist 14 suppliers and proprietors for reported anomalies in procurement of medical equipment for different medical colleges and hospitals.
Based on recommendations of the Anti-Corruption Commission, a letter signed by Hasan Mahmud, deputy secretary of the health ministry, ordered DGHS to ban the 14 suppliers.
ACC had filed multiple cases against the contractors and later recommended those to be black listed.
