Hajj flights to begin July 4
The first Hajj flight for pilgrims will depart Dhaka for Jeddah on July 4.
A total of 1, 27,198 pilgrims will perform the annual ritual this year from Bangladesh, according to a press release of the national flag carrier.
The first flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines will leave Hazrat Shahjajal International Airport for King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah with 419 passengers on board at 7:15 am.
State minister for civil aviation and tourism Md Mahbub Ali and state minister for religious affairs Advocate Sheikh Md Abdullah will be present at the airport to bid farewell to the passengers of this year’s maiden Hajj flight, the press release adds.
