Former BCL man goes missing from city’s Moghbazar
A former leader of Chittagong University unit Chhatra League has been missing for three days from the city’s Moghbazar area.
Omar Faruque, 34, now an air-conditioner trader, went to his Moghbazar office on Sunday morning but has not returned home since, his elder brother Sarwar Jahan Mamun told The Daily Star today.
A general diary was filed with Hatirjheel Police Station in this regard.
Mamun said the victim’s wife last contacted Omar over phone around 2:00pm on Sunday. He then told her to take lunch and said he would be home late.
After a while, his phone was found switched off.
CCTV footage of his office showed Omar entering around 11:15am, but there is no record of his exit, Mamum said.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the station Abdur Rashid said a GD had been filed and they were looking into the matter.
