A man was electrocuted at Lakkhirchar village in Sadar upazila of the district yesterday. The deceased, identified as Intaz Ali, 50, of the village, was a farmer. Locals and family sources said Intaz went to operate his irrigation pump beside his house. At one stage, he was electrocuted when he came in contact with a snapped wire. He was rushed to a local private hospital at Nandina Bazar, where the doctors declared him dead.
