Except pharmacies, all Ctg stores to be shut for 11 hrs from 7pm on Monday: CMP

All shops in Chattogram city, including markets and grocery stores, have been instructed by the Chattogram Metropolitan Police to remain closed for 11 hours from Monday evening.

Only the medicine stores in the city will be out of purview of the directive, Commissioner Md Mahbubor Rahman said in an order last night.

The closure, initiated for the greater good of the city dwellers, will begin at 7:00pm on Monday and will end at 6:00am on Tuesday, according to the CMP order.

Legal steps will be taken against those who defy the instruction, it added.
