Child stolen from Naogaon hospital
A five months old boy went missing from Naogaon Sadar Hospital today.
The boy, Md Musa, went missing around 4:00 pm when her mother Bristi Begum went aside asking an unknown woman to keep watch him, said Suhrawardi Hossain, officer-in-charge of Naogaon Model Police Station.
“We suspect that it is an incident of theft,” the police official said adding that police are conducting drive to rescue the child.
Police collected a CCTV footage that shows a woman wearing burka was going out of the hospital with the child, the OC told our Rajshahi staff correspondent.
Musa of Mangalpur village in Naogaon Sadar upazila was admitted to the hospital on October 2 with diarrhoea and he has been undergoing treatment there since then, said Monir Ali Akanda, residential medical officer of the hospital.
The burka-clad woman frequently talked to Bristi, the RMO told our Rajshahi staff correspondent quoting the mother of the child.
Finding no other alternative, Bristi went to collect cloths those were hanging on a rope for drying up, keeping her baby under the care of the women and on her return, she found both her baby and the woman went missing, the RMO said quoting Bristi.
