Case filed over beating Natore headmaster, 1 held

One person was arrested this morning after a case was filed over assault on a headmaster in Natore's Baraigram upazila, allegedly by a local union parishad member.

Milon Hossain, grandson of Mizanur Rahman, 50, headmaster of Panchbaria High School at Nagar union, filed the case with Baraigram Police Station last night.

Nazim Uddin, an accused in the case, was arrested around 10:30am, our Natore correspondent reports quoting Sharier Khan, officer-in-charge of Baraigram Police Station.

The headmaster was beaten up while on way to his school allegedly by local union parishad member Bachchu Pramanik and his goons yesterday in the upazila.

He is currently undergoing treatment at LabAid Specialised Hospital in Dhaka.
