Bullet-ridden body found in Cox’s Bazar
Police recovered a bullet-hit body of a youth, aged around 24, at a Jaoban area, adjacent to Cox's Bazar Beach early this morning.
The body was identified as Mohammad Alamgir, son of Mohammad Farid, hailing from Chairmanghata area under Cox's Bazar municipality, reports our correspondent quoting Syed Md Shahjahan Kabir, officer-in-charge (OC) of Cox's Bazar Sadar Model Police Station.
The body was recovered early this morning, the OC Shahjahan said, adding that the body bore bullet wounds.
The deceased was accused of at least 20 cases including murder, extortion and so on filed with different police stations of the district, OC Shahjahan said.
The police official also said that the youth was the prime accused in the murder case of Abu Sayeed who was brutally killed on April 18 last month.
The body was sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy and a case is underway in this connection with the police facility, added the OC.
