Boy stabbed dead

A boy was stabbed to death allegedly by his friend over playing cricket at Charghoshpur village in Sadar upazila on Friday.

The victim was Hamim Hossain, 15, son of Tofazzal Hossain of the village.

While playing cricket at a field in the area on Friday afternoon, Hamim and his friend Anik Hossain locked in an altercation and at one stage, Anik stabbed Hamim, said police.

Another friend Abdul Wazed came to save Hamim and came under attack too.

The two were rushed to Pabna Medical College Hospital where Hamim later succumbed to his injuries.
